NOSCO ALPHABET ANIMALS

Color Varieties

Index (Alphabet26)

The NOSCO Rainbow
The NOSCO ALPHABET ANIMALS come in an endless array of colors, tints, and shades.  I have at least 80 different colors in ALPHABET ANIMALS, and the biggest variety is in the NOSCO prizes.  There are definitely some trends in colors though.

Ivory
The common, or regular colors, in Type II NOSCO ALPHABET ANIMALS are red, blue, yellow, green, ivory, and white I am attempting to collect a set from ALPACA to ZEBRA in each of these six regular colors.  My first set in red was completed at the 1998 Cracker Jack Collectors Association Convention with a purchase from my good friend CJ Mikey on June 26, 1998.  Then on June, 1999, Julie and Jeff Lallathin sold me the animal I needed to complete a set in yellow at the 1999 CJCA Convention. Over time, I hope to finish at least these six sets -- I believe perseverance is the key -- but I am also very interested in the other colors.
Collecting Examples
Mint blue is a color of which I have several examples, so I am on the lookout for those as well.  Other colors that are of great interest to me are the examples of dark -- black, maroon, forest green -- and marblized colors.

Colors found in groups
In purchases made in the last couple of years, I have acquired a number of accumulations of ALPHABET ANIMALS These purchases have become a big part of my collection of regular colors, and will contribute greatly to the success of completing sets in regular colors.  It has contributed greatly to my theory of color distribution among Type II ALPHABET ANIMALS as well.  Having found several isolated groups or pockets of ALPHABET ANIMALS has lead me to believe that the six regular colors are what came in the mail order packages that were advertised in the print media.  However, I have generally seen examples of each of these four colors -- red, blue, yellow, and green -- and one of either white or ivory.  It is interesting that I have not found both white and ivory together in any of these large groups of ALPHABET ANIMALS Below you will find a list of the regular colors of ALPHABET ANIMALS and their ranking in availability.
Regular Colors Rank!
Here is a list of the colors in the order of availability as I have determined from my ALPHABET ANIMALS hunting adventures.  To look at my inventory sheet for my collection, go the the Alphabet Animals Checklist.
