I am not sure if I have enough information to post, but I thought that I would give it a shot. My father-in-law is very big into collecting and is starting to get to the point where he is getting older and would like to start passing down some of his collections. He would like to find out the approximate value of some of these collections to his grandkids, but wants to give them all things of equal value (so there is no fighting amonst them).

Anyway.... from what I understnad he has a full set of craker jacks, (when they had the metal toys in them) still in the original packaging. What is the approximate value of this, or what other info should I find out from him?

Hello and welcome to the Cracker Jack board. The metal items usually come from the 1920s to 1930s and there are hundreds if not thousands of metal items. Most of them probably range in the $2-5 range; however, there are many that are worth more. If you could post some pictures, we may be able to help you better.
