Thank you for posting the great pictures. I love each and every one of them. It would be interesting to know how the gentleman in the first picture lost his leg. My history lessons fail me. Would that have maybe been a World War I injury or maybe a farm machinery accident? And in the closeup of the "Staples and Fancy Groceries" window, are those fresh pineapples in the window? Or am I seeing the image incorrectly? The U.S. would not have had fresh pineapple during that era, would they? My Mom, who was born in 1918, always said the only pineapple she ever saw as a child, was in a can.
