Very old toys

Post by Buckys123456 »

Greetings,

I found in storage a small very old box storing at least a hundred Crackerjack toys. Most unopened in original package. My guess it's from a child's collection dating back to at least the 1930's or older. Many of the toys are plastic so maybe they are not that old. I just don't know much about the toys and their history. I was curious regarding the collection, value, interest, etc. Best Regards, Randy

Hi Randy,

Your storage find sounds very exciting. Of course we cannot judge the age or value of the prizes without seeing just what you have and the condition of the prizes. Here, at this website, we do not attempt to put a monetary value on prizes. There are just too many variables involved and remember, your collection is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. You might try checking on e-bay to see the price for which prizes are currently selling.

As for the age of your prizes, the plastic prizes are not from the 1930's. Prizes were not made of plastic until the onset of World War II. Therefore, a few plastic prizes were manufactured in the late 40's but most are from the 50's and later.

If you can post photos of your wonderful discovery, that would be great. Thank you for sharing your story with us and do keep in touch.

Truly yours,
Diane :)clap

Hi Sister, thank you for your reply. The advice sounds great. I will take photographs of the toys within the next few days and post. Since this is my second posting ever, I will have to figure out how everything works. Best Regards, Randy
