Hello, I am new here. Also completely new to the world of Cracker Jack prizes as of yesterday. I got a few small boxes yesterday of the 2013 with the basbeball stickers that say things like "Go ahead, throw the curve" I have been researching Cracker Jack prizes and found some articles that said they are now replaced with just digital codes for games? Is that true? If so, will I still be able to collect stuff, will I have to do most of it through ebay and sites like that? Thank you, I apologize if I am asking a question that has already been answered I'm just kind of confused :|d

Welcome to the forums.

There are still prizes in boxes/bags of Cracker Jack. There are a lot of newspaper articles saying otherwise, but they are wrong. The digital prizes are in addition to the paper prizes (stickers) that come with Cracker Jack. The confusion is that the writers of those articles wrongly assumed that metal & plastic prizes were taken out and replaced by digital codes. What they didn't realize is that paper prizes (generally stickers) have been the norm for some time. Metal and plastic prizes haven't been in Cracker Jack for a long time, due to federal & state food safety laws. The only thing that has changed, is that instead of just getting a paper prize, they've added a digital prize as well.

Happy Collecting!

Hello Blue_Bird,

Thank you for visiting our website and welcome to the fun World of collecting Cracker Jack prizes.
Yes, you certainly can find prizes for sale on ebay. That is a great place to shop. However, if you enjoy scouring antique shops, flea markets and toy shows, you may also find additions for your collection and another fun way to add to your hobby is by attending our annual conventions. Unfortunately, you just missed our 2017 convention. It was held in Chicago just two weeks ago. But you can begin to prepare for next summer's event which will be held in Chicago as well. In 2018 it will be held in July rather than June. Our conventions are three days of fun involving study groups, buying, selling, trading and auctioning prizes galore. We are a fun group of people who certainly welcome new members to our association. You can watch this website for details of the 2018 convention as they become available.

Do consider joining us and meanwhile enjoy your new hobby! :hiya:

I have no interest in the newer prizes. .When they stopped the real prizes I was out. Now you find them at flea markets and eBay.
