Hi All,
We need your help! We have been contracted to write a book on the 1914/1915 Cracker Jack Baseball Card collection. We currently have a best selling baseball book out entitled The T206 Collection: The Players & Their Stories. This Cracker Jack book will be the second in a series of three. It is scheduled to be published in 2014. If you have any authentic boxes from 1914/1915, we would like to use the images in our book.

We are also interested in any authentic prizes from that time period. In return, if we use your images, you will be acknowledged in the book. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cracker Jack memorabilia from 1914/15 only.

Thanks,
Tom Zappala

Harriet, Alex, Jim, what say you? My own opinion is that it might be pretty hard to pin those early prizes down to a particular year, based on the records that the company kept ( or didn't keep). Also, some prizes were reordered several times and made appearances in later years.
I will defer to these three to sort this out!

Thanks for your reply. To clarify, what we really would be interested in are authentic Cracker Jack boxes from that time period. We actually want to use them for the book cover. Any help would be appreciated. Tom

Good luck with the book. I am around 90% complete on the 1914 set. I have also been trying to pick up companion pieces for the set. You will have difficulty locking down any companion piece to 1914/15. However, you can find items that will include the 1914/15 years within a range of years from say 1912-1917.

Here is a trolly sign of mine from a period that would include 1914/15.

My oldest box dates from the 20's, but their are other collectors that have older ones. I know some are off-line for the Easter weekend. Give it a week or so and maybe someone will have an appropriate box.

Hi All,
We want to thank Harriet Joyce and Larry White for their help. This will be a fun project working with some great people as well as the fine folks from Frito Lay. Thanks again!
