rant on ebay about crappy CJ prizes

Anybody who wants a good laugh (or a good cry) should check out the ebay listing #390330702818 while it is still there. It's apparent everybody hates the current Cracker Jack prizes. Somebody should forward all the negative comments on to Frito Lay, but it will fall on deaf ears.

I have a ton of those. If anyone is interested, I'll sell mine for half of what they're asking. Free shipping. ;)

While in Allentown, PA on Thursday I stopped at a rest area on the turnpike and was pleasantly surprised to see a rack full of CJ bags. The date is July of 12 and I hopefully purchased one. As soon as I got back to the car I tore open the bag and the prize was visible right away. With great anticipation I carefully opened the top edge and peaked inside. No! Once again it was the confounded and way too familliar image of young Thomas Jefferson...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :-| ||

Will they never change these prizes? Not only does it not attract new sales, these overused prizes may be enough to deter sales!

Desperately hungry for new prizes,

Ann

I know exactly what you mean, Ann. I haven't bought a bag of CJ in a year or longer because I know it will be the same old prizes. Why do they keep making the same ones over and over again? It is very frustrating.

My greatest fear is that we're just 1 bag away from extinction! It's enough to make me %| %|

I hope all is well with you!

Ann

Oh Ann, perish the thought! :o However, that thought has gone through my mind as well. If that ever happens, CJCA will just have to go to the CJ production plant in Grand Rapids, MI and picket until the cows come home. Then we'll take ourselves to Frito Lay's offices in Plano,Texas and picket some more. LONG LIVE CRACKER JACK :!: \:)/

I am very well, thank you. My best to you and Bill also.

I haven't bought a bag of Cracker Jack in over a year. It's too depressing, I feel your pain.

I can envision the following:
Instead of Occupy Wall Street (OWS) it will be Occupy Frito Lay... OFL, pronounced "awful."
The picketers will carry placards with the images of Thomas Jeffersons face behind the symbolic "not" circle with diagonal red stripes.
Instead of fattening their pockets with our hard earned nickels (and more), the executives will meet our demands of putting a fair share of that money back into decent prizes that will give us collectors some dignity and jobs, the job of actually collecting something worthwhile.
There'll be riots, teargas and arrests, but our cause is noble and just.

Oh wow, Stewart :!: This sounds wonderful. Count me in. I want to be a part of OFL. When do we leave for Texas? Where do I get on the bus? I'm ready to go.
