:D Hi Fellow Cracker Jack Affecionados, :D

Quick! I want to call your attention to information posted today on the http://www.chow.com site. There is an article featuring wonderful prize images :hail: from the collection of Jim Davis who is also a charter CJCA member. And that's not all - Guess What? - you'll have to read the article to see what I mean! Lastly, there is a recipe to make your own Cracky Snack  and you can even print and make your own Cracky Snack holder from the site.

Warning :insane: - This gives me ideas for a future convention activity - making CJCA holders and filling them with snacks or using them as cups to catch snacks in :insane:

Sorry I got carried away for a minute - check out the articles from the links below and have some fun - unfortunately it is true - the prizes aren't what they used to be.

Thanks Gail and Thank you, Jim. What fun! I can't wait to read the articles but right now I have to shut down my computer because we are about to be hit by thunder storms here in the Detroit area. When the storms have passed I shall definitely be visiting the websites you gave us, Gail.

Thanks for announcing, Gail. When CBS Interactive contacted me, I wasn't aware there was a Chow.com

It started out that the site just wanted permission to use my images. But then another person contacted me about doing an interview about my collection. The primary focus of the interview wasn't the present state of prizes; that was just one of several questions. The interview was originally going to be a sidebar to the Cracky Snack piece, but then it was decided to make it a link instead.

I don't know what they did to the images, but my originals didn't look that good.

Lightning all the way down here in New Orleans, too, Diane, so singing off. No, signing off. I don't normallly sing when there's lightning.

Hi, Jim :hiya:

I enjoyed the articles on Cracker Jack and your interview on chow.com. I also had not hear of this website! :?

I agree with you on the current C.J. "prizes"!

Hi Jim and All,

The storm ended by this morning and I'm back online. I'm sure you are as well, Jim. Maybe you should "sing" when it's lightning. It would be a good way to pass the time while waiting for the storm to end.

I loved your interview, Jim. :superstar: Love the Cracky Snack recipe. May try it with my granddaughter sometime. Love the serving cups too. Thanks again for the "heads up" Gail. :)clap
