little help for my mother in law..

Post by fuschnikt »

Her favorite toy as a child was a little plastic owl. It had a dial that would change its eyes. She is insistant that it was a cracker jack prize..I have looked forever and have yet to find even a photo. This would have been around the seventies. If anybody can even provide a picture I would be eternally greatfull. Thank you! -DG

Hi DG,

Thank you for visiting our website :!: Guess what! Your mother-in-law is right. But, of course, mother-in-laws are always right. :D Her favorite childhood toy was, indeed, a Cracker Jack prize. The little dial-a-face toys were put in Cracker Jack boxes in the 1960's. Please see the scan below. This owl is from my collection and as you can see it is green. However, your mother-in-law's could have been another color. We Cracker Jack collectors are thrilled that she remembers it as a "favorite toy."

Thank you again for contacting us and please visit our website again.

Best wishes, :)lol
