I don't normally spend too much time on forums, but I did want to stop by and say hello to all of you and try it out. I see a lot of familiar names, and most of you already know me. If time and energy ever become available at once, I would like to contribute in some way. There is so much to share, but far too little time with so many commitments. I hope that will change some day. If I can figure this forum out, I would love to share many one of a kind Cracker Jack items for all to enjoy. I truly miss being involved, everyone's company and friendships.
Welcome to the FORUMS. I'm sure you won't have any trouble figuring them out. If I can do it, anyone can. I shall look forward to seeing your "one of a kind" images when you have a chance to share them.
Nice to hear from you and sorry we won't see you at the Laskeside Inn. Hopefully another time will be better for you. You will certainly be missed.
I would like to make regular posts here with many different surprises. I am already pulling some things together to start. I just have to find the time that's all.
I really wanted to attend this year's convention, but as everyone knows, the economy has progressively gotten worse and it has taken a great toll on us (the middle class). I won't get into all the details here, but it forced our 106 year old company out of business, higher taxes, many more costs, much slower sales, and more. Things appear that they are only going to get worse. There is no sign of billions of bail out dollars headed our way. It seems like whatever we do doesn't help matters much. Needless to say many things just had to go, including any traveling.
On a good note, if I can't see all your happy faces, at least I can hear from you on here.
It sounds as though you have had a tough time of it, Ron. I sure hope things will begin to turn around for you soon. By the way, how is "Little" Ronny? Hope he is well. D.
Things have been a challenge to say the least. We are getting hit from all directions. It is difficult trying to remain positive.
Are you on MySpace or FaceBook? Ronny and I are on both, as are many of our family members and friends. He is registered on many others as well. If you are let me know and I can send you to our pages. If you'd like to send him an e-mail directly I am sure he would love to hear from you. Here is his e-mail address:
Luke,
Hi!
The photo is of my Son. Many members know him from the first half dozen or so conventions. He was a huge help to a lot of people at the earlier conventions. I don't know if he would, but can he post on here or does he have to be an actual member?
Another question I have is, Can you create a forum for "Old Cracker Jack Photographs"? I have many nice ones to post.
One more, Did you get the Butter Nut Bread clicker?
Wow, Ronny is almost 26! That makes me feel old as well. Where do the year's go? I remember when he was just a kid calling Bingo at the CJCA convention. He sure is a good looking guy. Thanks for bringing me up to date, Ron.
Welcome Ron! It looks like you have conquered posting Thanks for sharing the photo of Ronny. He certainly was helpful at conventions and it is fun to see him all grown up! Gail
