1910s Reliable Confections Delivery Truck Photograph

It would be real nice to show up at our convention in this great looking old Reliable Confections delivery truck! This truck was probably the next vehicle used after the horse and wagon for local deliveries. The truck was most likely from the Chicago area in the 1910s. On the driver's door is the old Reliable Confections "R" logo. The side of the truck has two Angelus Marshmallow Cherubs or Angels, the same ones that appear on the old advertising mirrors. The side also has a large Angelus Marshmallows box. There are two American flags attached on the front of the truck and a luggage rack on the roof. The side of the truck reads as follows:

RUECKHEIM BROS. & ECKSTEIN
- R -
RELIABLE CONFECTIONS

FINE CONFECTIONERY

JOHN KIERKOWSKI
DISTRIBUTOR
2607 W. 47th ST.
PHONE McKINLEY - 4788
