what is this prize?

Post by edteach »

I bought a prize in the package. Looks to be 70s maybe 60s. Can you tell what it is by the outline?

Front picture. Can anyone date this prize to at least a decade?

I love a mystery, too bad I don't know enough to solve it for you.

1) Does it feel like multiple pieces or does it feel like one object? From the photo it looks like 4 nails and a shepard's crook.

2) The the printing on the front "Cracker Jack" & "Campfire Marshmallow", that should help narrow down the decade. I'm sure someone will know.

I don't have it in hand yet. I bought it on etsy for 4 bucks. I don't have any that are from the 70s or 60s that are unopened. When I get it I can shine a light through it.

I am sure this is a put-together telescope. It is clear plastic and came in four pieces--two long pieces that fit together to make the body of the scope and two little round pieces that fit each end and hold it together. See page 176 of Cracker Jack toys for a picture.

I would never have guessed it, but I can see it now that Cyndy said telescope.
