I found this lot for a buck twenty each piece. So three more Shiva's to the collection and five more Buddha's. https://ibb.co/4YNbS8S

No wonder they are scarce; you have them all!

 I don't actively look for them but when I run across one or more I can pick up at a reasonable price I will grab them. This guy wanted 90 bucks for the lot and I told him I would go 35 and he took it. My new hobby is repairing and selling 1930s and 20s desk fans. I picked this one up in Missouri a month ago. It was an estate sale where the guy told me it was in his mother and fathers Grocrery story in the 1920s. Its a Robbin and Myers with cast iron base. I had to make metal braces for the motor as it had so much torque. The thing scares me to plug it in, it would take a hand off. And I would not let it run with out me being right there. I have cats and it would hurt them very badly. But the fan is a neat piece of history. I tore it apart and replace parts and cleaned and oiled it. Sand blasted and painted. https://ibb.co/5cSSmjM

How many shivas do you have now? By the way, the fan is gorgeous, but I wouldn't plug it in. ;)

43 I think, I need to do a count. The fan is stable but she is a lot of power and that blade is thick aluminum like a prop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7br5n7sai8

Just a gorgeous fan, but a "finger chopper"! How did you sand blast it? Is it something you can do at home? Just curious!

I bought a sandblaster at Harbor Freight. I had a compressor. So once you have a compressor that can handle the air output and buy a sandblaster then I built a five by five by five frame and covered it in plastic with a plastic door flap. That way I can go inside sit on a stool and it keeps the coal slag media I use to blast from going all over. It really cuts down on time wire wheel sanding. I have more fans around the house and some are for sale on my etsy site. But this is the main body of what I have done. I also go to antique fairs and set up and sell.
