Cracker Jack Trivia
Re: Cracker Jack Trivia
Well, I guess, the best place to start is with with the Chicago newspaper from the 40's. It may take me a few years to get back with the answer, so be patient.

Hi All,
Geez, where have I been, didn't even know this forum existed! (Yea, I have to get a life!)
Luke, you are doing a fabulous job. Thank you so much!
If you need them I'm sure I can dig up a few extras of my CJ prizes...
...just let me know where to send them.
Well, since I just got done work and I'm fried to a crisp, mentally I'll sign off but best regards to all!

Welcome to the boards. If you have a photo of the prize, please post it, and tell us the back story. I'd love to hear it,

Re: Cracker Jack Trivia
Here is what I know about WW 2 prizes in boxes. A man wrote to me once who had been stationed in Greenland or Iceland during the war. He said his Commander always made sure that lots of Cracker Jack was always ordered for the men. The soldiers would enclose the prizes in letters sent home as a way of keeping in closer touch with their children. Nice touch!
Re: Cracker Jack Trivia
Oh, Harriet, what a touching story. I can't help but think the children who received those prizes must have been thrilled. Thank you for sharing such a precious reminder of what Cracker Jack prizes have meant to people throughout their history.
