Here is a 1910s photograph that was taken at a Cracker Jack & Angelus Marshmallows stand at an unknown Boardwalk location. It is believed to be from around 1917 to 1920. On the roof or awning is "ANGELUS MARSHMALLOWS" and "Cigars". On the lower part of the stand is a nice early image of Sailor Jack and the sign reads "AMERICA'S FAMOUS POPCORN CONFECTION THE WAX SEALED PACKAGE CRACKER JACK". There is a woman in a hat and dress with a purse posing, a woman employee inside the booth waiting on a customer, and a man that can be seen through the booth in the background. On the booth counter there is a stack of Cracker Jack boxes, a stack of Angelus Marshmallows boxes, and a stack of an unknown wrapped confection.

Hi Ron,
Love these photographs. On the roof of the canvas there appears to be part of the word "Cracker" running up at an angle in a very flowery almost Art Nouveau style. Too bad the photographer didn't take another step back.

Stewart

Stewart,
Hi!
You are correct, I forgot to mention the top of the roof. It is faint and I am surprised that you were able to see it. It is on an angle like on a Cracker Jack box with scrollwork. I imagine that you could see that from a distance on a boardwalk. Thanks for mentioning that, good eye! It is a great photo.
Ron
