Alphabet Charms
Plastic Prizes from Gumball Machines

Index (Alphabet26)

Varsity Letters - Perhaps the most famous of the alphanumeric charms, Varsity Letters were the greatest contribution of the Eppy Company of New York to the English speaking world of gumball prize collectors.  Numerous examples of colors are found, and both methods of making plastic charms into metal -- vacuum plating and vacuum metalizing were used for these prizes.
GO to Varsity Letters.
Roman Letters - While complete sets of the newer, lightweight version of these charms have emerged in recent years, the older, heavier originals are still a challenge for any collector.  They are among the lightest of the classic alphanumeric sets.   GO to Roman Letters.
Mod Letters - I was very fortunate to find a couple of good groups of these to add to my collection.  I am still missing three letters (Q, W, and X) from having a complete set of these in mint condition.   GO to Mod Letters.
Miscellaneous Charms - From the round miniature alphabet dangles to the Eppy Charms, Inc. letter balls, there are many set for which I only have a few examples.  There will be many more items to add to this collection in the future I am certain.   Go to Miscellaneous Charms.
